About this planer
This is a Makita 18V LXT cordless planer with a 3-1/4 inch capacity, model XPK01Z, sold as a bare tool. It runs on lithium-ion power and belongs to the LXT 18V battery platform, so it is designed to work with batteries from that family. Because it is tool only, no battery or charger comes in the box. It suits shoppers who already own LXT 18V batteries and want a cordless planer for trimming and smoothing wood. Before buying, check that you have a compatible LXT 18V battery and charger, since neither is included. Also note that this listing is for the tool only, and a combo kit version of the model is also available if you need a battery and charger in the same purchase.
