About this band saw
This is a Makita 18V LXT cordless portable band saw, listed as a bare tool, so it arrives without a battery or charger. It runs on 18 V power and is listed with a 4 Ah battery capacity, and it weighs 14.3 lb, a figure that matters if you plan to carry it between jobs. It suits someone already invested in the LXT 18V battery platform who wants a portable saw for cutting on site. Before buying, confirm you already own a compatible LXT battery and charger, since neither is included, and check that the 14.3 lb weight fits how you will handle it. Makita also offers this model as a kit, so choose the version that matches what you need.
