About this sander
This is a cordless belt sander from Makita's 18V LXT line, model XSB01Z, with a 3/8 by 21 inch belt. It runs on an 18 volt lithium-ion battery and uses a brushless motor, which the listing states. The tool is sold bare, so it ships without a battery or charger. It suits anyone who already owns LXT 18V batteries and wants a belt sander that works with them. Before buying, check that you have a compatible LXT 18V battery and charger on hand, since neither is included. The 21 inch belt size is also worth confirming against the belts you plan to use.
