About this specialty power tool
This is a Makita 18V LXT cordless shear designed for cutting fiber cement board, with a brushless motor and a 1/2 in. capacity. It runs on the LXT 18V battery platform and is listed as a tool-only purchase, so it comes without a battery or charger. It suits shoppers who already own LXT 18V batteries and need a cordless option for fiber cement work. Before buying, confirm you have a compatible LXT battery and charger, since neither is included, and check that the 1/2 in. capacity matches the cutting you plan to do.
