About this circular saw
This is a 16-5/16 inch circular saw from Makita's 40V max XGT line, offered here as a kit with a 5.0Ah battery. It uses a brushless motor and is listed at 24.3 lb, so it is a sizable saw meant for heavier cutting work rather than light trim jobs. It suits someone already invested in the XGT 40V battery platform or planning to build around it. Check that you are comfortable with the saw's weight and 16-5/16 inch blade size for your work, and note that other configurations of this model exist, so confirm you are choosing the kit version.
